The Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Works Barrister Lillian Stephen Nabe has led the team of Civil Engineers Ministry of Works to inspect the laying of asphalt at the various roads under construction. She expresses satisfaction with the quality of the road and the commitment of the contractors handling the road construction to meeting the date line of completion.
TEC Engineering Ltd, Raycon Nig. Ltd and Triacta Nig Ltd are handling the construction of Yola Bypass Road, Karewa Masakare Road and Jambutu Road Network respectively.
Earlier on, the Commissioner of Works Barrister Lillian Stephen Nabe led Governor Mohammed Umaru Jibrilla Bindow to inspect culvert construction at Jambutu and Church Street in Jimeta. At the site, Senator Bindow who go round the site in a tricycle popularly known as Keke Napep express satisfaction with the quality of work so far. He reiterated on embarkation of more road construction in other part of the state.
It could be recalled that His Excellency Senator Mohammed Umaru Jibrilla Bindow has promised to construct over 40 roads in the state capital and be commission in June, 2016 by His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari, President Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The commissioner of Works called on the people of the state to cooperate with the contractors handling road constructions across the state capital so that they can carry out their construction work effectively.
In the course of the road construction, some roads may be close or one lane will only be allowed to be used. Motorist should please cooperate by following traffic rules or ply alternative roads.
Barr. Lillian Stephen Nabe called on the people residing in Jambutu, Doubeli, Karewa and Yola Bypass to desist from dumping of refuse in the drainages to complement government effort.
