Kola, one of the major settlements of the Longuda nation before the recent attack by Islamic Jihadists suspected to be Boko Haram was a peaceful and serene enviroment.
This was the second time the peaceful coexistence of the Kola community was disrupted after it had a major running battle with its age long settlers the Waja who settle within its environs leading to the destruction of houses and other valuables over alleged conspiracy by the Wajawa attempting to claim ownership of some settlements as their heritage.
The preceding conflict was reported to have started when some familiar waja natives were were seen in company of some strange and questionable faces whom they brought into town to execute a mission following disagreement and denial to take ownership of the controversial settlements. It was reported that after the Waja natives and their allies were put to task they eventually confessed that they were recruited in as mercenaries to fight and to establish the ownership status of the settlers.
It was a discovery which never went well with the original owners of the land leading to conflict and distruction of property while some of the settlers were forced to relocate at that time.
Only few days ago, the inhabitants of Kola were woken up from their sleep after midnight by a midnight cry and scary gunshots following an invasion of the area by suspected terrorists in the middle of the night. According to eyewitness account, the terrorists numbering eight of them crept into town and with the aid of an insider went about identifying and pointing at the location of the houses of their enemies before the killings commenced leading to the death of five persons(unconfirmed) and several houses torched.
In swift response to the attack by the Longoda natives, the six Terrorists were killed in a cross fire while the remaining two were arrested and handed over to military forces for interogation.
A prominent Longuda native, Barrister Caleb Atiwa who confirmed the attack on Kola community to exclusiveglobal.net said, his people are on top of the situation.
At the time of going to the press, the police could not be reached immediately for comments and the confirmation of the arrests.Do you ever witness news, videos, articles, or photos that you believe it's good and rich for our blog?, or do you have a true life story that you would want us to feature on our blog; Adamawa Celebrities News?
