There are reports of mounting tension and fear among Residents of Ngurore town, a fast growing commercial town in Yola South Local Government of Adamawa State as a result of the rumour making rounds that the Mayah community of Demsa Local Government may be invading the town for possible reprisal following the gruesome murder of a middle aged Bali Native (names not immediately known) last wednesday at Ngurore Cattle Market by a group of suspected Fulani herdsmen in broad daylight.
The victim who was said to be in company of his younger brother to trade at the cattle market met his waterloo when he attempted to defend his younger brother who was stabbed with a matchet during an encounter with an unknown Fulani man.
An eyewitness account who spoke to exclusiveglobal.net on condition of anonymity said that the native who could not stand the sight of his brother lying down in his own pool of blood struck back at the fulani man and killed him instantly, a development that forced other Fulani Herdsmen to pounce on him with matchets and Rods leading to his death.
He said that the attack may be a planned assault by some Fulanis who flee from their homes during the recent repraisal carried out by irrate Mayah Youths when suspected Fulani Bandits invaded Dengle and neighbouring communities in Mayah District, killing and burning down houses during the attack on their territory by the bandits.
Newsmen gathered that a similar attack was carried in Ngurore and Iware in Taraba state leaving Nigerians with no doubt that the unfolding attacks are spill overs of the already declared war against Numan Federation.
A dependable source revealed that for fear of another possible repraisal, Fulanis are seen leaving the town in droves with their families to avoid any possible outbreak of violence in the Area.
No fewer than four persons were reported to have been killed during that face-off while several others who were fleeing for safety were injured in the process. Thieves and Robbers were also reported to have had their field day and taken good advantage of the confusion at the Market.Do you ever witness news, videos, articles, or photos that you believe it's good and rich for our blog?, or do you have a true life story that you would want us to feature on our blog; Adamawa Celebrities News?
