The cyclists, who also offered free ride to people to the venue of the prayers session held at the APC secretariat in Yola, said that the measure was part of their contribution in support of the president and the nation.
“We are here to declare our support to the president and the nation; we want to be party to anything that will promote the safety of our leaders and good governance”, Buba Jauro, a tricyclist said.
A petty trader, Mr James Danladi, said that he and others decided to shut their shops for five hours to take part in the special prayers conducted by Christian and Muslim clerics.
“We decided to lock our shops to come and participate in this rally and special prayers for Mr President.

In their remarks at the prayer session, the interim chairman of BOA, Alhaji Yayaha Hammanjolde, and the state chairman of APC, Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal, prominent party leaders from Adamawa, including Secretary to the
Government of the Federation, Mr Babacir Lawan, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, and
former governor Murtala Nyako, who was represented by his son, Sen.
Abdul-Azeez Nyako, lauded the commitment and concern shown by Nigerians.
They observed that the concern by Nigerians from all works of life was a testimony of Buhari sustained popularity among Nigerians, particularly the under-piviledged.
