“I commend the bravery of our women in Adamawa state, who stood firm when the state was hit by insurgency, some of them paid the price with their lives. They were the most affected but they stood firm in the face of these inhuman experiences, and now they are also championing the cause of recovery and resettlement in our communities, picking up the broken pieces of their lives and moving forward. It is indeed an examplary and immeasurable show of courage and resilience. We, as a government will continue to support our women“.

“More than a century ago women adopted marking an annual International Women’s Day as part of a wider strategy to champion the women agenda in general across the globe. Since then, the sustained struggle towards establishing gender parity has yielded a lot of fruits that we remain privy to and celebrate”.
“It is in cognizance of the foregoing that I wish to join the rest of the world today, in celebrating International Women’s Day. May I extend my heartfelt best wishes to all the women across Adamawa state and Nigeria at large on this special day”.ADVERTISEMENT
“This is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. Its my prayer that it brings joy to their hearts and amazing smiles in their faces. I thank you for all that you have done for your families, your communities, states and by extension, your countries”.
“I wish to call on parents and guardians to help us take away the girl-child from the streets. This administration has worked tirelessly to ensure that every girl-child in Adamawa state is in school, not on the streets begging or hawking”.
“Again, on behalf of myself and the good people of Adamawa state, I wish all the women in Adamawa, Nigeria and the world a blessed and joyous International Women’s Day“.
