Governor Muhammad Umaru Jibrilla has witnessed this year’s Eid El Fitr celebration traditional homage held at the palace of Lamido Barkindo Aliyu Mustafa.
The homage saw parade by the thirty three District heads under the emirate led other title holders and people to pay homage on the paramount leader.
Giving his message to the people, Lamido Barkindo Aliyu Mustafa congratulated the Moslem ummah over the successful completion of the Ramadan fasting and urged them to shun criminal activities and the likes.
He tasked them to be committed to prayers and good works only adding that every body have a responsibility to be vigilant at Alla times.
Lamido Barkindo said the three years of the present administration has recorded tremendous success in the areas of roads, education, health as well as giving the state a place among developed states of the federation.
He cautioned the people to check their health status and guard against Hepititis B, as well as cholera which had claimed lives.
Lamido Barkindo commend government effort in the fight against corruption and called in the people to give it all the necessary support.
On Permanent Voters Card, Doctor Barkindo Aliyu Mustafa called on the people to obtain their cards and use it wisely to elect leaders that will bring development and cautioned youths against thuggery.
The governor, accompanied by Deputy Governor Martins Babale later presented the traditional kola to the paramount ruler.
In the same vein, Governor Muhammad Umaru Jibrilla has enjoined people of Adamawa state to continue to live in peace with one another.
A statement signed by Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mathias Yohanna said the period, which marks the end of Ramadan fasting, is also a period for sober reflection, sacrifice and love for humanity.
The statement stressed that the period reminds the people of hope, happiness and tolerance.
It reminded the people on the need for peaceful coexistence for development of the state.
