This is the first time that a Government in Adamawa state will be executing such magnitude of street light project outside the state capital.
Governor Bindow emphasized that the street lighting project goes beyond beautification of towns but a strategy to tackle the daunting challenge of security threats by hoodlums and other nefarious people who carry out their evil acts at night.
Bindow added that security agencies will now carry out their duties with ease at night.
He called on the people of Mubi North and Mubi South to secure and maintain the project for the benefit of all.
Mubi town was agog with people from all works of life who troop out to celebrate and congratulate the Governor for lighting up Mubi.
The commissioning ceremony was witnessed by the speaker of the Adamawa State house of assembly, Rt Hon Kabiru Mijinyawa, the Emir of Mubi, member representing Mubi North and Mubi South at the National Assembly, members of Mubi north and Mubi south at the state house of assembly, chairmen of Mubi North and Mubi south, commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy affairs, and many sons and daughters of Mubi.
The speaker commended Governor Bindow for embarking on people oriented projects and promised continued support by the state assembly.
Others who spoke at the commissioning were full of praises and prayed for the Governor to keep up the good work he is doing across the state.
