On 5th January 2017, I raised an alarmed on an impending attack on the good people of Kwayine by Fulani Militia. The Member representing Demsa in Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon Lumsam Mijah Dilli responded by saying that the Government are in top of the situation. Today, 7th January, around 2 pm the bloodthirsty Vampires attacked the Kwayine and the neighboring villages. I think the Government are still on top of it.
I was reliably informed by one of the eye witnesses that three villages were burnt down. The vampires looted shops and houses, carting away their cattle. One of the natives of Kwayine told me that his cows are all missing. And their houses razed down.

The picture attached to this piece is a photo of some of the victims that are currently in Specialist Hospital undergoing treatment. As of this night when I went to visit, four of the victims are still in the Hospitals with the bullet in their body. Among the casualties are two Mobile Policemen who were killed by the Militias while one of the Police was abducted. Four of the resident of Kwayine, including a woman were also killed while four are in the Hospitals.
Before the attack today, some of the Mobile Police deployed to that Village were redeployed from Kwayine and only a few were left. The people alleged that the Government told them that they have compensated the Herdsmen as such they should go about their business without any fear.
We are at a time when everyone should be responsible for his security. Thinking that someone somewhere is responsible for your safety is a self-deceit. I don’t think the Government so much care about us, if not handful Mobile Policemen won’t be deployed to Kwayine.
