About 21 people are feared dead and several others injured following an overnight raid on the village of Douwayan in Demsa local government of Adamawa state by suspected Fulani Herdsmen, local sources told Daily Sun.
The invading herdsmen who have been wrecking terror on Numan, Demsa and Girei local governments areas were said to have attacked the communities around 8 pm Friday, burning down the village and destroying properties.
Attempts to confirm the incident from security agencies prove abortive as at the time of filing this report.
Former Senator representing Southern Adamawa, Grace Bent reacting to the incident condemned the attack and called on every Nigerian rise and stand against the killings in country.
Grace Bent said,
“This consistent dastardly and satanic killings has completely gotten out hand.“Every Nigerian must rise up to condemn this incessant and unwarranted destruction of lives and property in Numan and Demsa.“Our people cannot sleep, the security agents seem overwhelmed, it’s a chaotic situation in Numan.”
