Silent killings of herdsmen ongoing in Adamawa, Fulani group alleges

A group of Fulani herders under the umbrella of  'Mobgal Kautal Hore Fulbe,' has raised caution over claimed quiet executing of herders and taking of their steers in Numan and Demsa nearby government zones in Adamawa State.

The gathering in a gathering in Yola, said more than 4000 herders and their families were dislodged by the emergency, following the torching of their towns, along the banks of River Benue by Bachama local army.

Talking at the gathering, the North east bad habit director, Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Alhaji Mafindi Umaru Danburam, said more than 500 steers were currently absent.

Danburam, who blamed national government for predisposition in the emergency, blamed the Vice President Yemi Osinbanjo for separation by just going by Bachama towns influenced amid his visit to the state.

According to Danburam, “the latest is the abduction and killings of three of our youths on transit by the Bachama militia who disguised as vigilante. We are citizens of Numan and are set to return to our villages burnt down along the river banks; we need security protection and the immediate disbandment of vigilante groups,” Danburam said.

He also called on the Federal Government to investigate the distribution of relief materials to Fulani victims of the crisis, adding that what was announced as their allocation was yet to reach them.
He said: “What was announced as our allocation was far less than what the victims received. The Federal Government and NEMA, who brought the materials and handed them over to some officials, need to investigate this serious matter as victims are agitated.”
Danburam likewise blamed the Federal Government for oppressing the Fulani herders bringing up that the Vice President Yemi Osibanjo and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustafa who went by Numan assessed Bachama influenced towns and overlooked the Fulani settlements decimated amid the emergency.

Additionally Speaking at the gathering, the Adamawa part administrator of MACBAN, Alhaji Ja'oji Isa and his partner from Tabital Pulaaku, Alhaji Abdu Bali, validated Danburam's discourse and encouraged government to make solid strides previously things deteriorate.
