Bindow Assures Corps Members of Adequate Security in the State

Adamawa State Governor, Sen.Muhammadu Bindow Jibrilla has allayed the fears of Corps members  in the state as he called on them to  put aside all uncertainties following the recent disruption of peace in some parts of the state.

Bindow gave the assurance at the  Closing Ceremony of the 2017 Batch "B" Orientation  Course held last Monday at the permanent orientation  camp, Damare, Girei Local Government, where 2100 prospective Corps members were deployed to.

The Governor who was represented by his Deputy, Martins Babale said his administration is working round the clock to tackle security challenges in the State with proactive security measures already in place to ensure  relative peace and calmness.

"We know we had some challenges within  the past 2-3 weeks but you need not to worry, everything is under control, you don't need to fear anything, Adamawa is home to all Corps members" He said.
Bindow went on to congratulate the Corps Members for successful disengagement from camp after  the regimented but fun-filled camping exercise.

"I commend you all for a  successful disengagement from camp after an eventful and rewarding course, the eventful display of a colourful and splendid parade is laudatory as it demonstrates your orderliness, physical and mental state"

He reiterated the commitment of his Administration towards Corps members welfare as he emphasized  that the State Government is appreciative of their numerous contributions.

"The State Government is appreciative of the numerous contributions of  Youth Corps Members in uplifting the standard of living in our  community , this was demonstrated with Government intervention in critical areas of needs, with the renovation of the orientation camp and  augmenting of feeding and donations of essential drugs during the orientation"

 "I assure you that the Government is also working round the clock to tackle the challenges of the National Youth Service Scheme  and improve   the welfare of Corps Members serving in the state as arrangement has already been made to give you decent accommodation and other welfare incentives for optimum performance" He added

He  did urged all Corps Members to channel all entrepreneurial skills acquired at the camp into productive use as the skill acquisition programme  will help boost their entrepreneurial development.
Earlier In his opening remark, the state NYSC coordinator , Mallam Abubakar Mohammed, acknowledge the   Governor for the financial support regarding corps members welfare.

"I want to express gratitude to the Governor for approving funds to aid Corps Members welfare" he said. He also appreciate the community  for their friendly disposition throughout the  3-weeks of camping while he  commended the corps members for their orderliness during the stay in camp.

Highlight of the event  includes the mounting of saluting dias by the deputy governor for three hearty cheers and inspection of the quarter guard mounted by a detachment of 2017 Batch B Corps Members.
