The Vice Chancellor, Adamawa State University, Mubi today honored with the most prestigious Lead award from an International Students Group, the League of African Development Students for saving hundreds of lives on the eve of Boko Haram invasion of ADSU Mubi. Dr. Zaruwa who was the acting Vice Chancellor at that time was the first member of ADSU community to raise alarm over the plan invasion of the Boko haram and went further to ensure that all the Student relocate from the campus before the eventual invasion, the convener of the award pour encomium on the Vice Chancellor for rare act of bravery and also urged ADSU community members to join the Vice Chancellor in the restoration mandate he promised.
Responding Dr. Zaruwa express his profound gratitude to the convener for the recognition he said “i was misunderstood on that faithful day i still felt it was the right thing to do at that material time and i thank God Almighty for the guidance and strength given to me that faithful day, i never thought of been rewarded of appreciated for this”.
