The state executive Governor ,Governor Sen.Mohammadu Umaru Jibrikah Bindow stated this through the chief of Staff Government House Yola, Alh.Abduraman Abba Jimeta,in a press briefing shortly after the weekly EXCO meeting held in Demsa Local Government Area on Wednesday.
He said the youths to be useful, is one of the important functions of his administration ,as the youths constitutes an important factor in the social–economic development of any area.
Governor Bindow, further said that his administration has resolved that the majority youths will be trained in various vocational jobs to acquire relevant professional skills acquisition in various state skills center build in almost all the local government in the state, while some others will be given the opportunity to continue with their academic activities through school warship that will be given to them.
He said that the state executive council has approved the establishment of a high power committee ,which is charge with the responsibility of coordinating the activities in related to the Youths Empowerment in the state ,in which Governor Bindow, will serve as the chairman, the Chief of Staff, Abduraman Abba Jimeta , Vice chairman, and other commissioner will save as members s .
The commissioner for information,comrade Ahmed Sajoh, in his contribution said that the state government is the determined to properly tackle the youths restiveness through providing the man enabling envelopment where they could actively participate in the development of the state,and that the government will also assist the local government on this issue.
Commenting on the area of Agriculture ,the government said that it is one of its priority’s of the state government especially with call of Mr president Mohammadu Buhari,on Nigerians to go back to farm,the state has Dean it fit to provide farmers with fertilizer on or before the raining season and among other input’s
He said that all arrangement has been concluded between the state government and the local government to to procured over 20,000 metric tones which is 400,000bags of fertilizer which will be sold to farmers at a subsidized rate of #6,500 per bag as against #9,500that is sold in the open market.
Governor Bindow, reiterated the unflinching development of his administration to provide the best leadership that the people of Adamawa deserved because according to him votes had during the last 2015 general elections.
