The Minister, Hajia Jummai Alhassan, affirmed the improvement in Yola while proclaiming open a 3-day limit building workshop for ladies in the state.
Alhassan, who was represented by Mrs Ifeoma Okeke, Assistant Director, Economic Service Department in the service, said that the advancement was in a joint effort with UN Women and People of Japan.
“The Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development in collaboration with UN Women and People of Japan has trained and supported 150 vulnerable women in the state.
“The aim of the intervention is to empower the women through building capacity to improve their living status,” said Alhassan.
She valued the endeavors of the UN Women and Adamawa government for supporting the service to touch the lives of the less advantaged ladies in the state.
In the mean time, Alhaji Bello Aliyu, the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Social Development and Integration in the state, said the workshop intends to prepare five ladies from every neighborhood government territory of the state.
The members, he stated, would be prepared on cleanser and cleanser making, tie and color, heating cake and squeeze making.
Aliyu encouraged the members to give the facilitators most extreme participation with a specific end goal to procure more abilities.
In his comments, Mr Anthony Udah, Program facilitator, valued the open door given to the service for the progression of the program.
As indicated by Udah, the program, particularly focusing on Internally Displaced Women, is likewise being held all the while in Yobe.
